Dr. Shakir has been our go to doctor for our children age 6 and 2, since the time they were born. Besides being very experienced and knowledgeable, he also knows how to allay any concerns or fears parents, especially new parents, may have with regards to their kid. Our family experienced a traumatic event last September with our youngest daughter in which we had to go to the hospital. Seeing a three year old covered with tubes leaves a heart in pain. We were transferred to Edwards hospital by ambulance unsure of the next steps. A concerned worried family was greeted by an amazing staff. We had the privilege to have Dr. Taaha Shakir as our daughters primary doctor. He was amazing and patient and put our minds, ours being the parents, at ease. He did a great job of assessing our daughter without being overly invasive, observing her breathing while discussing the situation with us. Even to this day, a year later, we still reached out to ask how our daughter Hazel is doing. The experience that we faced with the expert guidance of Dr. Taaha Shakir allowed us to focus on what’s important, the health of our child. I will forever appreciate the care in which my family received.
